Hi,

And off we go, first week of the 2010 season. Already fortune has shone on us; would you believe that we are able to feature

Soft Shell Crabs with Lime Butter Sauce

in the first week of their new season. Serendipity. The other special is another spring favorite,

Salmon Oscar

which is roast salmon topped with asparagus and crab meat with a light mustard-parmesan  glaze. We took requests last week for our opening week’s soup, and the winner was

Cream of Roast Asparagus with Crabmeat.

We open tonight as usual with Thursday is Prime Rib Night.

We have added 4 beers in addition to those we carried last year, Miller Lite, from Delaware, the Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA, a beer from Oregon, Full Sail Amber, and also, from Colorado, Left Hand Milk Stout.

Our wine list has been the happy recipient of the world-wide wine glut brought to us by the financial crisis of the past couple of years. There are deals to be had on fine wine and we have taken full advantage. Our wine list is posted here. We have also worked to make these wines accessible. You will see that almost everything is available by the glass. The service staff has had many fun “training sessions” in the past week, where we have opened all the wines and then, one by one, brought out menu items so that we could learn what pairs well with what. We are ready to guide as you discover your own favorite wines to drink with your meals. Those bottles whose subtle nuances do not lend themselves to being served by the glass are easy to try out on Fridays, when all bottles of wine will be half-price, all season.

Sunday nights we will feature Henny Penny, and this Sunday night only, we will make available Fried Oysters for those of you whose cravings could not be satisfied earlier.

We are feeling blessed that we were able to re-open and

We hope to see you.
