I was looking at the calendar the other day and the old chef brain registered, “Oh, it’s almost the end of asparagus season.” It wouldn’t be right to let this pass without a further hurrah or two, so for all those of you who keep bringing this up to me, this weeks soup will be a revival of the Cream of Roast Asparagus with Crabmeat While we’re on the asparagus theme, we will also be offering this week Risotto with Grilled Lamb Chops We will also feature Grilled Tuna with Lemon Vinaigrette & Soft Shell Crabs with Lime Butter Sauce Tonight is Prime Rib Night, Friday come for half-price bottles of wine, and Sunday night we offer Henny Penny. Locally, this is the final week you can catch ‘Inherit the Wind’ at The Players Theater in Callao. For tickets call the box office at 529-9345 or on the web at www.westmorelandplayers.org. Lastly, here’s a reason for you to look at the calendar also. Beginning on June 7th, Good Eats Cafe is going to start opening on Monday nights. On those Monday nights we are also going to be tweaking our concept a bit, something we are calling Casual Cafe. Casual Cafe will add sandwiches and other lighter fare along with our full dinner menu. More to come on this as we get closer. As always, thank you all so much. We hope to see you.
